I have just finished the book called Drive  a autobiography by none other than the three point king Larry Bird. this book shows his life all the way from his start at the little run down town in the small city of indiana. how he had started out small and now had become one of the most famous people and an NBA ledgend.

the book all started out when he showed where he grew up and how he evolved into a man, dropping out of collage getting back in getting kicked out of his house forcing him to live with his grandparents until the couldn't contain him forcing him to start the career of the NBA ledgend.

This book actually showed me a lot because of all the failures in his life but also how they all just fueled the fire to make him a big shot NBA player

romeo and juliet essay

In the book romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare the mail characters have a very strong love interest for each other and the proved it by death of one another and solving the Montague and Capulet rivalry's for tens of thousands of yeas to come.

the emotion of Juliet the Capulet has a lot to do with the story line, because how ever she feels usually dictates the story's flow because when juliet was felling mad about romeos banishment and him killing Tybalt. Causes her father to get mad the nurse to get very agitated  and causes romeo to commit suicide by the chain of events leading to Juliet's "death".

Also how the emotions of the mail Montague of the story can have very strong emotional effect on the story. also how when Juliet got mad, when romeo got mad his best friend Mercutio got murderd and he could control his anger do he got even with tyablt and killed him leading to him getting banished forever making Juliet fake death and realizing shes alive making her kill herself.

this proves how much the emotions of both main character would effect the story and how if their were no action their would have been no reaction leading to the shocking suicide ending

          The Dead by:Charles Higson

The story takes place in England. Where the main characters Ed, Bam, Wiki flee to London to escape a deadly plague. This plague only effects people 16 and older. It literally turns the world upside down. It is spreading to rapidly for anyone to contain cure or escape. on their way to London they meet a butcher named Greg. He drives a school bus to London so he can get back to his son.

i thought that this is really frightening. We as a society always think about apocolypies, but we never really prepared for one. This is an example of what could happen. I would imagine we would be in either the same senario or worse. I dont think that our society could do in this situation. it really makes me think about what could happen in our world, but I think it would result  in a much worse result. Our society would crash way faster. i would think that our government would be even more currupt then it is now and not even do anything to help the citizens of the world!

rr for march 7th

In my ,book  the Omnivore's Dilemma  the characters are trying to figure out what is causing the universal omnivores dilemma.  Michael Pollan goes around the world looking for the best food chain and try to figure out how some farmers use organic ingredient. Michael travels to a farm called Pollyface. They raise hens and chickens in a happy environment. This farm doesn't use any byproduct or any mutilators. The Farmers let the chickens roam around and eating worms, incests on the farm. The buyers don't mind seeing the animals getting slaughtered because they know they lived a happy life on the farm.

He also talked about corn, how it is the most abused food in America. It is literally used in everything, like when you go to MC Donald's if your like me you get MC Chickens and a large drink. well, your eating a corn fed chicken in a corn flour fried in corn oil, and to wash it down you drink a soda sweetened with high fructose corn syrup . He was allowed to go to hte goverment facility and find out exactly how many "fod" items it makes.

Michael Pollan then  goes on a  hunt to solve the very beginning of the omnivores dilemma. That means he has to go to the very bottom of the food chain with no manufactures or pesticides or humans involved just the wild food. Mr. Pollan said,  "that his plan was to go the outback of California and live off the land". First step was to  find and kill a wild boar. Then for the vegetables  find some herbs and then go to a previously burned forest to collect special mushroom. This mushroom can only be found in a place filled with ashes, its very delicious. This special  mushroom are called morels, they  only need feed on ashes to grow. As he described it ,it was the "perfect" dinner except that the mushrooms were gritty and the salt that he had collected in the San Fransisco bay was too toxic to serve to a human.

this book has really opened my eves to how we Americans eat. we have no diverse food or culture. without it we stray from our roots and cause the omnivores dilemma. And just what goes intoour food and how most food is corn. This book has literally CHANGED my life
